History

The NV BSD (Belgian Sweets Design)  has been established in Oktober 1985, with a startcapital of 3.000.000 Bef., located in Jette (Brussels) on the Bd.de Smet de Naeyer.

The capital increased quickly from 3 to 5.000.000 Bef and to 10.000.000 Bef in 1989

 In 1989, the Real-Estate company of the Family De Smet bought  the location in Jette, as well the one of the neighbours, so BSD  could invest 10.000.000 Bef in the renovation and enlargement of the showroom and offices with intention to increase his activities.

In 1997, it was no more possible to aggrandize , so we decided to move the company to Brabant Walloon

 In 1998, a terrain was found in Saintes (7000m2) . The construction started in April 1999, and in June/July 2000 we could move in.

With 2000m2 store, 1000m2 showroom and 500m2 offices, the increase in business in 2002 runs into

Euro 3.000.000, with a staff of 15 tot 20 people selong the season.

Due to the growing expansion of the activities, a new investment  was necessary.

The enlargement of the building finished in September 2005.

At present-day, BSD dispose over, 500m2 offices, 2000m2 showroom and a store for 4000 palettes.
